MERA PAEK CLIMBING (6,476M) AND AMPHULAPCHA PASS

Mera Peak Climbing and Amphulapcha Pass trek is one of the most challenging trips in Nepal that anyone will have a memorable adventure experience in the lifetime. The journey from Kathmandu begins with a flight to Lukla, and then trek commences. The trail is quite steep, ascends towards the Zatra Wala pass. After crossing the pass we head to the uninhabited Hinku Valley northwards.  As we gently walk through rhododendron, fir and silver birch forests Mera peak is visible in the far distance clearly.  At Khare, we take one day rest to ensure acclimatization and pre–climb training. Here our Climbing guide gives instruction on climbing technique, and ascend onto the huge Mera glacier for some practice and further acclimatization. Our real adventure on Mera Peak will begin from a high camp above Mera La at 5800m. We follow a long, broad ridge towards Mera Central peak, involving a continuous effort up a moderate snow-covered slope. We should be cautious while climbing slowly and steadily until the summit of Mera Peak. From the summit of Mera Peak you will enjoy the stunning views of Mt.Everest, Mt.  Kanchenjunga, Mt. Lhotse, Mt.  Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Baruntse, Mt. Nuptse, and many other Himalayan peaks. After reaching the summit you will surely feel a sense of achievement. After Mera Peak summit we trek along Kongma Dingma and Seto Pokhari

through a high rocky ridge covered with dense forests. En route we cross several streams before reaching Amphu Lapcha Pass (5778m.). After crossing  Amphu Lapcha Pass we head to Amphu Lapcha Base Camp, Chhukung and Namche Bazaar. Then we make our way back to Lukla from  Namche Bazaar and ends one of the most challenging trekking routes in the Everest region.
