Out of world’s fourteen Himalayan peaks that rise above 8,000ers, eight of them are in Nepal including the highest peak- Mt. Everest. Ever since the country has opened its peaks for climbing, Nepal Himalayas has become a great theater of mountaineering activities with stories of success and failure to meet the ultimate challenges. Expedition style of climbing was used in the first summit of Mount Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay in 1945.
