Manaslu Round trekking is far less crowded than any other treks in Nepal. This trek offers a true feeling of remote area adventure, despite its increase in popularity among the trekkers since teahouses were built in the Manaslu region in 2010. Manaslu Round trekking highlights all the great features of a classic trek in Nepal: beautiful scenery, awesome suspension bridge crossings, a 5,100m Himalayan pass, fascinating local culture, and biological diversity
We begin Manaslu Round trekking with a 6 hours long drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (700m) via Aarughat and then we walk along the Budhi Gandaki River. The trail rambles climb and keep going its way along the valley. We gently ascend from low altitude to an area of strong Tibetan influence called Nupri which is known for the trade route between Nepal and Tibet border. Larke La pass is the highest elevation in the Manaslu trek. This pass links the Budhi Gandaki with Marsyandri valley which means Manaslu to Annapurna region.
As we ascend higher altitude the Hindu culture is replaced by Buddhist culture and artifacts such as Mani walls, Gates and Chortens as does the topography changes. Manaslu region is home to many elusive wild animals including the snow leopard, grey wolf, musk deer, Himalayan Thar, and blue sheep. Trekking routes at lower Manaslu segment is already re-built which was affected by Nepal’s devastating earthquake on April 2015. At this moment we have been regularly running trekking to Manaslu region for our international clients and trekking route is completely safe.
