HISTORIC SUMMITS ON MT. ANNAPURNA I BY INTERNATIONAL TEAM OF CLIMBERS

April 7, 2025 – Mt. Annapurna I, Nepal:

A momentous achievement unfolded on the slopes of Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m) as a team of determined climbers successfully reached the summit on April 7, 2025. Among them, South African climber Warren Neil Eva made history as the first South African to summit Annapurna I, accompanied by seasoned climbing guide Kaji Sherpa. The pair reached the summit at 8:38 AM.

Joining this triumphant ascent were Indian climbers Sunil Kumar, Narender Kumar, and Gurshimran Singh, each supported by experienced Sherpa guides Nima Tashi Sherpa, Phurba Sherpa, and Pastemba Sherpa respectively.

Their summit times were recorded as follows:

  • Sunil Kumar at 10:15 AM
  • Narender Kumar at 10:30 AM
  • Gurshimran Singh at 11:05 AM

This remarkable feat highlights not only individual endurance and skill but also the incredible teamwork and support provided by Nepal’s legendary Sherpa guides.

Mt. Annapurna I is renowned as one of the world’s most dangerous and technically demanding 8,000-meter peaks. These successful ascents represent an extraordinary milestone in the climbers’ mountaineering careers and serve as inspiration for adventurers worldwide.

The expedition was organized by Pioneer Adventure, under the guidance of Mingma Dorchi Sherpa, continuing its tradition of excellence in high-altitude expeditions.
